How to Setup Email Accounts
How to create an email account in cPanel
Login to your cPanel and go to Email -> Email Accounts.
Make sure the Add Email Account tab is selected as shown:
Enter the email address you want to add.
Enter a strong password then enter it again.
Select a Mailbox Quota for the account (default 1GB) and click Create Account.
How to check your email account settings
Login to your cpanel and go to Email -> Email Accounts.
Click on the Email Accounts tab at the top.
For the email account you are configuring click on Connect Devices -> Set Up Mail Client.
Scroll down to Mail Client Manual Settings and you will see your settings listed.
Use the Secure SSL Settings.
Typically the Secure SSL settings will be:
Username: Your full email address eg john@yourdomain.com.au
Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com.au
Incoming Mail Server Port: IMAP – 993, POP3 – 995
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com.au
Outgoing Mail Server Port: 465
Make sure you set your username and password for BOTH incoming AND outgoing servers.
How to set up email on your iPhone
On your home screen click Settings
On the settings page click Accounts & Passwords
Click Add Account
On the Add Account screen click Other
Click Add Mail Account
Enter your Name, Email Address, Password and a Description for your account, then click Next.
Select IMAP at top then fill out the following details:
Incoming Mail Server
Host Name – mail.yourdomain.com
User Name – your full email address eg john@yourdomain.com
Password – the password you set for this email address
Outgoing Mail server
Host Name – mail.yourdomain.com
User Name – your full email address eg john@yourdomain.com
Password – the password you set for this email address
Click Next
The Hostmatrix mail server is contacted and verifies your email account.
When the email account is successfully verified, the following page appears allowing you to save your new mail account:
Click Save in the upper right corner to finish setting up your new mail account.
